Mathetics

Mathetics is usually defined as a "systematic application of reinforcement theory to the analysis and construction of complex repertoires which represent the mastery in subject matter". In this approach, responses are structured responses and responses determined by the programmer.
Reinforcement is provided for completion of task. Here, wrong responses are ignored. This is because Mathetics believes that 'error helps in discrimination but not in learning'. Development of mastery of the content is the most important aim of this approach. However, it focuses on Mathematics and grammar only.
